My local host:
Registered PHP Streams php, http, ftp, https, ftps, compress.bzip2, compress.zlib
The distant host:
Registered PHP Streams => php, http, ftp, compress.zlib
Here it's the same parameters on the two servers.
zlib.output_compression Off Off
zlib.output_compression_level -1 -1
zlib.output_handler no value no value

May be post a link to phpinfo on distant host can help?
May be increase the allocate memory for execution of script do something? But i can't find instruction to do that from a script.
