I if disable cookies in Firefox, I cannot log in. I even tried it here on this fudforum and it didn't work either.
1) Turn off cookies
2) Delete .xyz.org. cookie from Firefox
3) Goto login page - on my fudforums there is a checkbox to 'disable cookies' - i made sure that is off
4) Submit login
5) Redirected to the main forum home page. I am not logged in and there is no 'S=' session ID in the URL.

This forum does not use URL session hence without cookies it will not work. If you want URL sessions you need to enable them in the forum's configuration AND when logging in you need to make sure that you indicate that you don't want cookie based sessions.

I've just tried in my development forum and it worked fine...
The test was done with Firefox where all cookies were removed and cookie support was disabled.
