It would not work well @ all, without making the table structure of the main page uber complex and consequently hard to render.

If CSS wizards can come up with a way to do it, which would work in all major browsers I'd definately consider implementing it.

That's sort of what I figured, too. The more I thought about how to implement it, the more my brain hurt.

OK, now for the latest installment in the saga...

I've got the following setup:

-Cat 1
. . . Forum 1a
. . . Forum 1b
. . . -SubCat 1A
. . . . . . Forum 1Aa
. . . . . . Forum 1Ab
. . . -SubCat 1B
. . . . . . Forum 1Ba
. . . . . . Forum 1Bb
. . . . . . -SubSubCat 1B1
. . . . . . . . . Forum 1B1a
. . . . . . . . . Forum 1B1b
+Cat 2

In the Admin Control Panel, everything shows correctly. Out on the main screen, though, it shows like this:

-Cat 1
. . . Forum 1a
. . . Forum 1b
. . . -SubCat 1A
. . . . . . Forum 1Aa
. . . . . . Forum 1Ab
. . . . . . -SubSubCat 1B1
. . . . . . . . . Forum 1B1a
. . . . . . . . . Forum 1B1b
-SubCat 1B
. . . Forum 1Ba
. . . Forum 1Bb
+Cat 2

So, SubCat 1B is being moved out to the main category level, and it's SubSubCat 1B1 is being displayed under SubCat 1A.

Looks like i need a data dump from your again, I tried replicating the bug using the previously provided data dump (added 3rd level cat) but it shows up fine and in the correct location.
