I am using FUDforum 1.9.8-Alpha-RC4. Some of my users have difficulties with english language (german people) some other have difficulties with german language (danish, dutch, french people).

Is it possible to have a category (or maybe forum) in another language? Let's say, the default language should be german, but one category shall be english.

Thanks for your help.

Retz

Forum 2.1 will have the option that would allow each user to choose a language of their choise from the support list of languages.

The 2.0 release will only support 1 language for the entire board.

Thanks for your quick response, Protoss. So I will wait for the 2.1 release.

Why not setup two seperate boards for this though?

@hackie: two boards is the solution I am running now. From administration point of view one board is better. There are also users which are members in both boards. For them it would be easier to have only one board, too.

There is another rather nice solution.

Make 2 FUDforum2 installations but modify the 2nd installation to use all the settings including database from the 1st installation.

That way you have 2 forums running on identical data but the appearance of each forum and language settings can differ.

@protoss: Thanks. Great idea and so easy. I will give that a try until version 2.1 comes out.
