how about adding a reset feature to the login screen?
how about centering the button(s) ( login and reset if added ) on the login screen?

There reason we placed the buttons where we did is to be consistent with the general ideas about good design. If you'll check you will notice that all control in most programs are placed at the bottom on the right side of the control. This is done commonly on both Windows, Linux, MacOS etc...
Being the unoriginal guys that we are, we decided to follow suit with this design style for our forum.
