Cannot login after enable pathinfo [message #29055]

In the control panel I choosed pathinfo as the default theme, now after log out I cannot login, and cannot even browse individual page. Everytime I click the link, the page automaticaaly revert back to the home page with different sessionid on the url.

What happened? Can I change the setting back under shell account?

You can still access the admin control panel by going to it directly, then simply re-enable the non-path info theme. It looks like your server does not support this functionality.

Thanks for the quick response.

I could not login in at all. when I clicked the login, there is no login page, just the defauld front page. So I type in the user name and password on the login form, but after sumbit, it would not let me in, showing the same old front page.

Anything wrong? I did checked my server with a.php./a/b/c, and it seemed like to be working

Did you enable PATH_INFO is the forum settings before enabling path_info theme?

I didn't recall enable path info before I choose the themes.

Maybe this is the problem?

I just used the history link of non pathinfo url and logged in,

and disabled the sessionid in url, after that, it seemed to work now. but once I logged out, it was not working

Huh, strange indeed.

Thanks for the remind Ilia. I changed the pathinfo to enabled, and it working now.

You need to make sure that the PATH_INFO setting in the admin control panel is enabled if you are using PATH_INFO themes.

Actually your "fix" makes sense given how PATH_INFO is implemented.
