What connection parameters did you specify during the 2nd installer page? Have you tried connecting to PostgreSQL via PHP using pg_connect function?

I tried 127.0.0.1, as well as the true ip address on my internqal network 192.168.0.103. Dont know about pg_connect. I tried to connect with the visual tool pgaccess but it gave an Identical error message. Thats why I think my problem is in the filter file pg_hba.conf.

Thanks for the reply

Can't really help you with your PostgreSQL configuration, try the postgreSQL support mailing lists. You also want to make sure that your config allows TCP/IP connections.
