All of a sudden cannot upload file attachments in posts [message #29572]

A PHP upgrade was done on the host server over a month ago.

Suddenly today, members cannot upload file attachments. There is no error message. Members select a file in browse and then click upload and nothing happens at all.

Yesterday, an error message was obtained with every post, though the post went through.

These errors came out of the blue with no changes to anything recently.

We upgraded to the most current version of FUDForum tonight and now there are no error messages after the posts, but members still cannot upload attachments to their posts.

Any ideas on what this is? Thanks!

Maybe file uploads were disabled in the PHP configuration? Also, check your PHP's error log.

Here is what our hosting service replied to that:

Hi Donna,

Presently the server-side values for file_uploads is On with a maximum size of 2MB.

The error logs for PHP are presently disabled as these can cause high CPU utilization. Generally, most developers would prefer more internal error logging—which FUDforum appears to use, even though nothing is showing up in it.

Any ideas on how to proceed to get back the ability to upload attachments in posts???

Members cannot upload file attachments.

Admins cannot upload files in file manager either.

Ilia, I sent you the site address and user/password a week ago via email, can you take a look see?
