does anyone have any experience importing a fudforum database into another forum?

if i start using fudforum and then decide i'd rather use either punbb or some plone concoction how likely is it that i'll be able to import the fudforum database with a small amount of effort?

i would love to know if anyone has ever imported their fudforum database into another forum.

even if it requires a minor amount of pain i'll be ok. if however i'm effectively locked into fudforum because significant pain would result from attempting to convert the database i'm less excited about using it.
