Pressing the Rate button without selecting a rating level appears to default to the 'lowest' level. It would be better to ignore the rating in such cases.

It would also be great a feature can be added to sort/ filter by rating. This will allow users to get a list of the best topics.

The default to the lowest rating has been fixed.

It'd require additional indexes, for now I'd recommend making a custom patch if you want this functionality. Any additional indexes on the threads table would be quite ditermental to performance.

Hi,

I would like to see FUDForum develop into this direction. However, it's not a priority for me right now.

BTW: to prevent the performance hit, one could always move ratings to a separate table, say fud26_thread_ratings with thread_id as PK. Very few threads have ratings associated with them anyways.
