I'm new to this forum, but I like it so far. It's easy to change the look and all other things I need, but the Groupmanaging is somewhat hard for me to get for some reason. I am used to Invision Power Board, where it is possible to use the ranks for other than "labeling" the users of the board.
What I need is an easy way to make 4 different groups.
Group 1 = Anonymous = Not able to see, read or do anything.
Group 2 = ForumMembers = Access to Public Forums.
Group 3 = ClubMembers = Access to Public and Member Forums.
Group 4 = Leaders = Access to ALL forums including leaders own forums.
I find it hard to make this easy. Seems like I have to go in and fix the Restrictions for each individual user?
I need group2 to automatically go into the ForumMembers Group when registering to the forum.
When they have applied and approved to become members I need an easy way to just "drag/promote" them into Group3. Automatically giving them access to Memberforums. Then when/if they are elected for leadership, I could "drag/promote" them to group4. Automatically giving them the access for the leaderforums as well.
The ranks would have been perfect for this.
Making it possible to set ranks not to need number of posts as reference and a way to set forums for only one or more ranks, I could make 3 ranks of my own and set the access on the forums after the ranks.
Is this possible already? Or is it something you would maybe implement in the next upgrade?

Eureka! I got it. Finally figured it out.
So the "All registered users" in the group manager ain't the same as in the admin panel
Hehe. It's all coming together now, allthough you might consider making the ranks usable for this in a later version
Keep up the good work!
Edit: I guess things come together... They don't fall together...hehe
