When the pagination happens the messages are picked randomly not according to the date. On a page it shows the messages sorted by date. But its not sorted datewise through the pages

Simply not true, messages are sorted by post date, always.

On a page messages are getting sorted by Post Date, but when it is getting paginated, a group sorted by post date is coming on one page & another group on other page but somewhre from the middle. To sort this problem at present I have increased the number of posting to 100 & thus its showing correctly. But my concern is what will happen when it will cross hundred

Are you referring to listing of topics or listing of messages?

The former sorts data based on the date of the last post in the topic from newest to oldest. The latter sorts messages based on post time from oldest to newest.

Listing of Topics. I changed the order from last post to post_date
Becasuse there also I wanted the listing to happen from post_date like its doing in messages.

When it comes to listing of topics it is important to remember that they are sorted based on the date of the last message in the topic rather then when the topic was created. This is why if you look at the topic creation dates, the order may appear to be random, but it is certainly not the case.
