Hi, il know that a lot of questions has been asked about cookies and session in this forum. Unfortunately, i can't find the solution to my problem.
Here is my problem i want to user to connect in my forum in such a way that the session identifier is not passer via the URL.
To make this word (if I've correctly understood), i have to enable session cookies (aka 'Use session cookies' => 'Yes') and to disable url sessions (aka 'Enable Url sessions' => 'No')
But, if i do this i can't even log in to the administration interface.
I've also noticed that if i set 'Use sessions cookies' to yes and 'Enable Url sessions' to yes, i can log in but the cookies is not set.
If i go to mozilla administration, i can't found a cookie for my site. Yet, cookies are enabled in my browser as i can see the cookies for this site.
Does anyone know what i am talking about. Is it a problem of configuration of mis-installation.
Please answer me, i'm desperate Sad

Do I have to rebuild theme every time I change some parameters in the section 'Cookie and session settings'.

No, you do not need to rebuild the theme after changing cookie settings.

OK now here my point:
I have a site which allows people to connect and to register. What i want is to implement single sign on.

For the 'register' part, there's no problem, when the system creates a user, it uses the function 'fud_add_user' (of the API USER) to force the creation of a new user in fudforum side.

But for the 'connect' part, I have some problems.

The scheme is the following:
--> The user logs in.
--> The system connects the user.
--> The system tries to log the user to fudforum using the function 'external_fud_login' of the file 'forum_login.php'.

Here is the problem: from the function 'external_fud_login', i get a ses_id which seems to be valid. The fud_session_XXX cookie is also created.
So every thing should be fine. But, when i go to the forum, the user is not logged.

I can't understand why?
Does anyone can help me?

When you are accessing the forum does your browser send the cookie back to the forum?
