Hi,

I am having some troubles installing FUDforum on my local webserver.
First of all, this all runs on:
- Apache Webserver 2.0.58
- PHP 5.1.3
- MySQL 5...
- Windows XP x64

First I downloaded the latest stable version (2.7.4). Once extracted, I runned the install.php script, and Apache crashed.

Seeking for a solution I read I needed to try the new RC. I downloaded that too, extracted it with Winzip, runned the install.php and got an "Archive Corrupt" error. Placed the .htaccess file, didn't help at all.
Tried to extract it with winrar, tried to run the install.php file again, didn't get the "Archive Corrupt" error, but Apache crashed again.

So, is there a way I can get this installed on my local webserver?

Thanks in advance

Stoffel

PHP 5.1.3 has issues dealing with post requests, try PHP 5.1.4

Thanks for your reply.

I've updated my php version.
But I can't seem to extract the files properly on Windows. It keeps saying "Corrupt Archive". (MD5 sum was right)

Did you download the zip file or the tar.gz or tar.bz2 files? Can you try downloading the tar.gz and/or tag.bz2 files and running them. Also, when you decompress those files compare install.php found within to the one you have to see if the two are the same.

i tried both, compared them, they are the same.
Still got the corrupt archive error.

Is it possible to just get the correct file instead of the compressed files?

How did you compare files? Did you make a checksum of the install.php scripts?
