User registration may be moderated (or there may be an option for registration moderation). This is a "must" for some private sites. Only approved users get an email for confirmation, and others get an email about their denial...

It is possible to do this in the forum using user groups, but registration moderation is still inevitable for some sites...

I saw a code hack for this in code hacks section, and I guess I'll modify some code, but with every upgrade of the forum script, I'll have to re-modify some code.

Perhaps it may be a good idea to add this to fudforum as a feature? Who knows? Our developers do... Smile

Hmm... something to consider certainly. I think it is something that would be a good addition to version 2.1

Any word on this? Got a few sites where its kind of necessary. Otherwise I'm looking at custom code again.

Maybe in 2.2.5, the 2.2.4 is pretty much in feature freeze right now as I am trying to implement FUDforum <> email gateway.
