I have problem with merging topics.
In my test forum (2.7.5RC1) there are two topics, on the merging menu there is a list with available topics. When I mark the two topics and click on "Next Topics" the two topics are added again to the list. So I have four topics on the list. When I try to do the procedure again I get an error message because of unsufficient rights.
Is this by design?

Are you using a moderator or an administrator account to do this?

I've tried this using the admin account and got no errors in CVS version of the forum.
Here is what I did:
1) Went to merge control panel
2) Selected 2 topics, clicked on next topics
3) Added 2 more topics (in addition to the 2 selected) and clicked on next topics
4) Got another page with 4 topics selected now.
(no errors)

Sorry for the delay, I had problems with updating the forum.
Now I am running the latest CVS version and I can still reproduce.
1) I have a forum with a number of topics (the number doesn't seem to matter)
2) I go the Merge control panel
3) I select a number of topics from the list
4) I click on "Next Topics"
5) The selected topics will now be added again to list of topics. This means that you have now more entries in the list than topics in the forum.
6) When I now select all topics listed there and click on "Next Topics" again I get the error message.
The bug (?) begins for me at step 5): Why are the topics added again to the list? The error message could be result of a processing failure of the non-existing topics.

I've tried and absolutely cannot replicate the error message that you are describing.
I would need to see it happen on your forum.

OK, I applied the patch. I have also applied the changes you made to mnav.inc.t (http://cvs.prohost.org/c/index.cgi/FUDforum/chngview?cn=11511).
Now the Next/Previous buttons are gone, which is good.
But when I now select one topic and click on "Merge Selected Topics". The selected topic gets duplicated.
If you can't reproduce it you can of course use the login details I sent to you.
EDIT: I will be on holiday the next 3 weeks. So I can't answer possible questions before I am back.
