At our forum, http://www.cycling74.com/forums/index.php, we have turned off HTML code, FUDcode, etc., and for whatever reason, this seems to break the posting of URLs. They are broken in a very specific way: a space is introduced into the URL string, so that when a user copies and pastes this URL string from the forum into their browser, it invariably contains a space, which the destination web server will interpret as %20, and the destination thus becomes a broken link.
Many of our users have figured this out and know to delete the space when copying and pasting. I can't figure out for the life of me why these spaces happen in the first place though.
Turning on HTMLcode or FUDcode isn't an option, because the forum is integrated with a mailing list, and the mailing list comprises 60% of the posts. We're trying to maximize compatability between the two, and this means plain-text message bodies in our forum.
Any idea why this is happening?
TIA
PS Here's a post on our site where this is happening: http://www.cycling74.com/forums/index.php?t=msg&goto=73368

This is caused by wordwrap the forum does on long string, you need to adjust the word wrap number in the admin settings to a higher number.
