Hi there,

I'm running a 2.7.5 FUDforum, and it's running fine.

But if somebody tries to download an attached file, with a right-click on the mouse, he is logged out automatically. I'm sure, this should not happen.

regards

Rafael

Are you using session only user tracking?

I tried nearly all possible settings under "Cookie & Session Settings".
Without any effect
I also switches "Attachment Referrer Check" off. No effect.

_This_ forum has the same effect.
I just placed a right-save-click on the attachment in this posting http://fudforum.org/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=6374&start=0&
And .. Boom .. Logged out.

I know, this right click is nearly sensless. But sometimes users do senseless things Smile

What browser were you using? I've tried to replicate it with Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and Safari and in both cases downloading the attachment (via a right-click-save) did not log me out of the forum.

This seems to be going funny Smile

I have this behaviour with Safari (2.0.4)

Firefox 1.5.0.4 (OS X) is working well. No logout.
Firefox 1.5.0.4 (W2k) is working well, too.

But IE6/W2k --> Logoff and IE6/XP-Pro --> Logoff

Well .. you had to click somewhere (e.g. home) to see that you are logged out.

Ok, I was able to confirm the issue now, but it does not appear to be forum related. Forum does not care how you open the attachment the same data/headers are sent all the time. However IE and Safari appear to do something special that causes the loss of cookies on right click download. I've tried a dosen possible solutions so far and none do the trick... So far now I'm afraid the problem must be classified as unsolvable.
