I am running PHP 5.1.4 and just installed FUDforum 2.7.5.
I am only allowing 64x64 uploaded avatars at the moment, and when I (or any of my forum members) try to upload an avatar, it does not work, and does not return any errors.
Neither preview, nor actually submitting the form work, and the permission settings for both "/images/avatars" and "/images/custom_avatars" are 777.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Or is there any way to turn on more verbose error reporting so I could track this down?
Edit: attempting to upload via Admin pannel does not work either.

I just updated it to use a new temporary folder for files, and chmod'ed it to 777, and it still doesn't work.
PHP is set to allow file uploads.
EDIT:
Doh! My host is not as real-time as it used to be! Now that I've changed it, and given it a few minutes, it is now working!
Thanks for that, I would have completely overlooked the temporary upload directory!
