I'm not quite sure what happened, but i was Running FUDforum 1.2.3 and ran the upgrade to 2.0.2... it then gave me an error, so i just installed the 2.0.2 overtop of my old forum, using the current databases, and my data is not there!!!!!!!

HELP!

-Henry

Certainly. You should have a .backup directory inside the errors directory with all of your old data.

Ok, here's the deal.
I'm migrating over to a new server, and i have nothing but my .backup data, what are the steps to take to get my forum (ver. 1.2.3) running on the new server?
do i use this mysql_dump.sql in phpmyadmin to transfer the data to mysql on the new server?

TIA!!!

Heh... I we really no longer support 1.2X series forums, especially something as old as 1.2.3.

Basically, you need to have mysql backup and then you need to copy th_* files from the .backup directory to the message directory.

Yeah, understandable...
but thanks for the tips, I really want to upgrade to 2.0.x but I ran into trouble before... I'll give it my best shot!
THANKS!

I think your problem was that you did not upgrade to 1.2.8 prior to upgrading to 2.0X, as advised, hence the problems you are having.
