How many user registered can to have with no very problem (slow and other) ?
How many users at the same time?
There are actually site with 10-20.000 users?
Respect at other commercial (type VB) has the same reliability
?

The forum can handle as many registered users as you want, there is no limit and you'd need a few million registered users to see any performance impact.
As far as concurrent users given decent hardware the forum can easily have 300-400 users doing something every single second, which would translate to a few thousand users actively using the site.
