I was trying to figure out a problem with my forums attachments and tried "unlocking the files" in the admin section. Now all I get is an internal server error when trying to access the forum. I'm guessing the permissions changed. Any Ideas?

Sounds like your server disallows usage of files with loose permissions 666/777

I believe that is true as I've had that problem anytime I try to acess a file that is given those permisions. Is that a common problem?

It is not a common issue, but some people have reported encountering it in the past, I suspect it is a consequence of some "security" module on their hosting provider.
