Hi everyone.

Today I got a PM from a user saying that they just now noticed their e-mail address was typed wrong - missing one character and then she tried to change it back to what it should be. However, when she tried to change it back, Fud says that another user is registered under that complete e-mail address.

Now here's the thing, I checked who now is registered with that complete email and it turns out to be someone who feuds a lot with the party that contacted me.

Lastly, that person who has been feuding, contacted another moderator by e-mail asking that her account be deleted and re-created because she "muddled" her password.

Does this sound like one user was trying to reset the other users' password? Could it be the 1st party that contacted me that her email was entered incorrectly - could she be a culprit?

Please advise.

Thanks!

FUDforum requires each user to have a unique e-mail address, so if someone wants to change their address to someone else's implies something fishy, because normally a user CAN change their e-mail address via the profile. I am guessing the user contracted you because the forum refused to do so since the address is already in use.
