Now that I have successfully transfered data to fudforum and fixed all the groups and permissions, I found that there were several users with moderation over forums they shouldn't have. After I realised it wasn't a group permission problem, I determined that multiple users had rights they shouldn't have. I did what I figured was the easiest thing to do. I wiped the data from _mod table. Now I have people linked with the default green link indicating they are moderators when they do not have access. What must I do to wipe all traces of moderator status from all users?

I should also point out that I created a moderators group and placed several people in that, granting them permission to move, split, delete, et cetera. Will that make them show up as a moderator?

Well, nevermind. The solution is, find someone on the list whose permissions you removed from the _mod table and edit their account, updating their moderation permissions with no checked boxes. This will clear All of the others green links as well, not just this one user.
