I haven't found what I'm looking for either. One thing I like about the default theme is that it's uncomplicated and easy on the eyes. On the other hand, I'd like to see a dark theme that shares those characteristics. Has anybody seen a fudforum theme that has a black background in the cells where the actual posts appear, and bright, easy to read text elsewhere? I've seen a couple of dark themes that are difficult to read at best, and a couple that incorporate too many colors at once for my taste. I could almost settle for a "negative" color scheme in the default theme, but I've yet to see anyone develop it. Have I missed something?

What became of the themes contest that was proposed back in 2005?
