Hi,
I have to make a "snapshot" of one existing site that is based on FUDForum. Those snapshots need to be put onto CD-ROMs (or DVDs, didn't decide yet) so that web server and FUDForum run directly off that readonly media. Web server with FUDForum and database server should start off CD/DVD automatically when CDROM is inserted into tray (of course if autorun is enabled) on Windows and MacOS X.
It seems that this special web server can be used for such task:
dvd web server
Have anybody heard of doing something like that with FUDForum?

Hi,
"It is doable but you'll need to disable creation of sessions when someone access the forum. Effectively making all users anonymous."
Just to let you know - their product allows to have database copied to HDD first time web server is run from CD. So modification of database is possible with their product.
