With version 2.0 we were having problems updating profiles for members. It was suggested to upgrade to 2.2 and we did so. We are still getting the same error as follows:
query failed: %( UPDATE fud2_users SET name='Derekg, alias='', email='derekg(at)cogeco(dot)ca', display_email='N', notify='Y', notify_method='EMAIL', ignore_admin='N', email_messages='Y', gender='UNSPECIFIED', icq=NULL, aim=NULL, yahoo=NULL, msnm=NULL, jabber=NULL, append_sig='Y', show_sigs='Y', show_avatars='Y', posts_ppg='0', time_zone='America/Montreal', invisible_mode='Y', bday=0000, user_image=NULL, location='', occupation='', interests='', avatar=0, theme=1, avatar_loc=NULL, avatar_approved='NO', sig=NULL, default_view='msg', home_page=NULL, bio=NULL WHERE id=20 )% because %( Duplicate entry '' for key 2 )%
We get the same problem for new and exisiting users (meaning new users since the upgrade and existing ones before the upgrade). Is there something we have done wrong, or a setting we need to check, or is this a bug?

Are you running version 2.2.3 or earlier?
I see why the query would fail, the alias field is incorrectly to set '', however I cannot track down the error unless i know the exact version of the forum you are running.
