how can i disable icq status indicator when reading messages without code hacks?

it slowdown messages display for users with slow internet connections and for intranet users

You can remove it by modifying the drawmsg.tmpl template and remove the HTML for the ICQ notification. Just remove all data from the 'dmsg_im_icq' template.

i did so just after installing forum.
but per-user "disable IM status display" option will be much better (imho). Smile
