i need to show the last post of my forum on my web page. can you help me with the php script?

There is code which does exactly that inside logedin.inc.t review the source inside that file for clues.

ok, this is what i found in logedin.inc.t last_msg:
<br>{MSG: logedin_latest_post} <a href="{ROOT}?t={VAR: url}&goto={VAR: lmid}&{DEF: _rsid}"><b>{VAR: lsubj}</b></a>.

{MSG: logedin_latest_post} = "Last post on the forum: "

{ROOT}?t={VAR: url}&goto={VAR: lmid}&{DEF: _rsid} = the adress of the latest post

{VAR: lsubj} = the name of the post

now, (how) can i make a php script out of these FUD tags ? Confused

You are not looking at the correct file, what you are looking at is the template, you want to source code, which is found in a different file that was mentioned in my previous reply.
