In our current use of FUD Forum we are registering users on our end and will later issue usernames/passwords for those people to access the forum. In setting them up I'm just using a dummy e-mail address so the e-mail confirmations are sent to me. When I setup a new user and don't confirm via the link in the e-mail message that is sent, I can still see that user listed in the user manager. If I turn off e-mail confirmation for that user in the user manager and try to login as that user, I still see a message stating that user has not been confirmed. What is this setting used for in the user manager? Is it possible to add new users and 'not' require them to confirm via e-mail?

You can disable email confirmation via the 'Admin Control Panel'. The email confirmation is used to validate that the user has entered the correct email address during registration. It mostly serves a perpouse of blocking bogus registrations, until a user confirms their account they have the same forum access priveledges as anonymous users.

So disabling that in the user manager should then allow them to bypass the confirmation step, even after the confirmation e-mail has been sent out? It does not seem to be working that way on my end for some reason. Even when I have the confirmation e-mail setting turned off for a user and try to login with their username, I get the "non-confirmed" user screen. Perhaps I'm missing something?

Really, hmm I'll need to check that but I should not require email confirmation if you turned it off.
The option you've set to NO is 'Email Confirmation' correct? Please keep in mind it will only affect new accounts after you've changed this options, account made prior to the change will be affected.
