When the message counter is recalculated?
When a topic containing messages of mine is deleted, my msg counter is decremented?

When I "check forum consistency" msg counters are recalculated?

When a message is added or removed the counter is increased or decreased depending on the action. It is not recalculated from scratch, that is only done by the consistency checker.

Oh, I see... and what's the file to modify to avoid the counters' decreasing?

On our forum we delete large numbers of them (the oldest ones) once a day, to avoid the DB from going too large.

Our users, on the other hand, don't like to see their little numbers decreasing... Silly but true Smile
