In 2.3.2RC3 collapsing of categories is stored into a cookie (and this is soo good Smile ), but when you after "a while" (eg you return to the homepage after browsing the forum) try do open or close a category, you lost your previous "state". It seems the cookie isn't read when you click on categories.

Actually they are not stored inside a cookie, but inside a database. Anytime you change the category state on the front page the state is remembered so this is no bug.

I didn't describe the problem clearly.
Try this:

Go the the HomePage
Collapse a category or two
Enter a forum
Click on the "home" icon
Collapse another category

The last category I've collapsed is closed.
The other two are open.
