By default the colors of the forum are the same for each forum, however you can make each forum have its own color if you so desire. To do this you need to create a $color variable inside index.php.t and set the color for each forum based on the forum's id and/or name.
The inside index.tmpl modify the 'index_forum_entry' to use the color variable as color.
