Hello,
I got a very weird issue which started with with FUD 2.32 and is still lasting with 2.33. For a few days there's a new thread in one of our forums which appears twice whenever I'm logged in (with my admin privileges). It's just one single thread affected, any follow ups will be shown normal both logged in and logged out. The 2nd admin isn't affected by that issue and neither are any of the mods or users. It's just me. If I log out, that particular thread is shown once again. Any idea what could cause this issue?
Help would be greatly appreciated
bye
Ken

Hmm sounds like a VERY weird issue to me, can you try running the consistency checker, maybe it'll clear this weird message out. Since you are THE ONLY person seeing this double message, I quite honestly am buffled by what could be the cause for this.

Interesting...
Does this message have any special flag set on it such as expiry date? If you edit the message and submit the changes, does the 2nd dupe dissappears or does it stick around?

I've noticed you are using a customized theme, could it be that other forum users are using a different theme?

There's one default theme for all. Before the thread was created a few days ago I ve never experienced any trouble with it. Since it's just me who's affected could it be that my account is broken?

Unlikely, there are a few reasons why. First of all the threads are drawn from the data in the threads views table, which is the same for ALL forum members, no personal profile settings could/would have an affect on that. The very same code is also used to determine the next/prev links on the message view pages, which is why I was surprised by your report that next/prev links are correct.
If you have a threaded view enabled, could you check & see if the dupe message appears on that view as well?
As well as check the 'thread_view' MySQL table for any duplicate entries by running the a query such as this:
SELECT thread_id,pos FROM {PREFIX}thread_view WHERE forum_id={FORUM_ID};

Hmm you do not have an option in your profile setting that would permit selection of the tree view for both topics & topic contents? How many options then do you have for the 'Default Topic View' field in your profile?

About tree view - did you allow tree views in admin panel? Since 2.3.2 (I think) it has changed and you have to explicitly set this value for this to work. I had the same problem, searched the source and found variable responsible for this. I checked in admin panel and it was there - "Allow Tree View of Thread Listing:".
