Disabling account deletion [message #6984] |

Hi all.
Firstly good work on the FUD forums, it's really an excellent bit of software.
This could be one of those bug/feature things We have the situation where a user already registered changes his/her email address, misses/ignores the verification email or invalid key error message and finds their account deleted after a certain number of days.
Now I know this is supposed to happen, but it's a bit of a pain because all their previous posts are now owned by the Anonymous user. When they then complain about not being able to log in, we then either have to get them to re-register, but of course there's no way of attributing their previous posts to them.
Is it possible to turn off account deletions, eg. by setting the number of timeout days to zero? I would prefer to have the account remain and stay dormant/disabled and the posts showing their proper owner.
regards
Sam.

Don't set it to 0, but set it to a large value, like 1 billion that will make sure non-confirmed accounts are not deleted.
