Thanks, could you please tell me what character set should be used to display latvian as well as translate the text below (it goes on the FUDforum buttons).

Ken makes a good point in this regard. Perphaps, there is some sort of a tool, that could convert windows-1252 to the equivalent ISO charset?
I'll see if I can do this using the recode utility, however since I don't speak Latvian it may be impossible for me to tell wether or not it has done the job correctly...
