fudcode and tables? [message #7143]

The basic problem my users and myself are having is not being able to figure out how to make tables in our posts with the fudcode.

I looked through the docs and tried the regular HTML code posting of:

<TABLE BORDER>
<TR>
<TD>A</TD> <TD>B</TD> <TD>C</TD>
</TR>
<TR>
<TD>D</TD> <TD>E</TD> <TD>F</TD>
</TR>
</TABLE>

Which doesn't work.

How can tables be nested inside the fudcode when we post?

Unless you allow HTML code you cannot place raw HTML inside messages.

I see the choices are fudcode, html or none as opposed to fudcode AND html. So my question is, how do you create a table or at least a text message with entries separated by tabs using fudcode?

I don't understand why does this not display correctly then?

ant 8 spaces 4 more spaces
booger 5 spaces 4 more spaces
cougars 3 spaces 4 more spaces

I posted this with the # of spaces listed above and it is all smashed back down. Crying or Very Sad

Hmmm

ant 5 9
bob 5 9
wally 3 9

I have included the editing window that shows the spaces are correct.

need to use a fixed width font... like say given by the code tag
