Hi,
Hardly anyone is using Netscape 4.7x any longer. According to several websites' stats there are even much more people using Mozilla than all Netscape browsers together. So one could say that Netscape 4.7x has become obsolete and Linux distributions have already cease adding it to their releases.
These oddities u ve seen aren't an issue with FUD violating HTML standards (it is in fact 4.01 compliant) but with ole Netscape 4.7x violating even basic formattings.
