In the PM system, when a message is deleted, it is moved into the Trash folder. I then have to go into the Trash folder and delete that message again.

How about:
1. Auto delete contents of Trash folder when user clicks out of PM area (back to forum)

OR

2. Auto delete oldest messages in Trash folder after x number of days/weeks etc.

I am vehemently against any auto-delete features, because those tend to lead to data loss. To delete all message inside trash folder is a 10 second affair, tops.
