Users who only check the "Unread Posts" option on the forum's home page won't see any announcments I've set.
Suggestion: If an announcement is set to be shown on all forums, then also show it when a user looks at the "Unread Posts" page.

Are you referring to message announcments or the yellow global announcments. The message announcments will appear in 'unread' listing if they user had not previously read the message.
