All of the apostrophes (single quotes) on my forum are coming through as a series of forward slashes. Is this an escape sequence of some kind? Can I turn it off?

TIA,

ruger

I looked in the php.ini (I'm assuming that's what you meant). And the following were set:

magic_quotes_gpc = On
magic_quotes_runtime = Off
magic_quotes_sybase = Off

I tried changing the others to On, but it didn't make a difference (well .. actually turning the runtime to On gave me WAY more backslashes).

Thanks for replying. Any other ideas?

If you set magic_quotes_gpc to Off does it begin to work correctly?
