Howdy, y'all, from the great state of Texas (to whatever great state you're in).
Let's say I installed phpbb2 (2.0.2) in folder home/html/bb/, and then ran ../bb/install.php to create a forum in home/html/myforum/, with attached MySQL db named bb_mysql.
1. To convert, does it matter what folder I install the phpbb2.php converter in? If so, does it go in /bb/, or in /myforum/, or do I need to create a /phpbb2tofud2/ folder?
2. Which folder do I need to use as parameter for phpbb2.php?
3. Once I convert, will I have old (phpBB2) and new (FUD) working, or only FUD?
4. Does FUD have mods? (I realize that many mods for phpBB were really to supply features that phpBB should have had, but then there were nice mods to add calendars, etc.)
Thanks in advance for any tips anyone cares to supply.

1) Yes, place the script inside the forum's WWW_ROOT.
2) Read comments inside the file, you need to modify the upgrade script and change the value of 1 variable to a path of your phpbb2 install.
3) Your old bulletin board will remain as is, conversion script will not modify it in any way.
4) There are some hacks, however when a really useful feature comes along it is usually added to the core of FUDforum.

Login as admin to your FUDforum and go to the erro viewer, it'll tell you exactly which SQL error had occured. Then post that error in your reply.
