Hello,

I Installed 2.3.7 I'm happy with it.
Only thing is on every posting, when I type "I'm" I get "I\'m"
or for that matter any word with upostrophy " ' " changes to " \' "

do you know why?

Thanks

Thanks for that, I failed to mention my system OS and packages
RedHat 8.0 and Java j2re-1.4.0.3 & j2sdk same version.

I downloaded 2.3.8rc2
I delete all the files & sql database then installed this new version,
Surprisingly had the same problem.
Is it possible this problem coming from java or php ?

I test 2.3.7 on RedHat 7.3 and worked fine.
Right now I'm formatting my system to re-install RedHat 7.3 and try again.

Regards,

Vania

Hi,

Finally Very Happy
I format the system, Installed Linux RedHat 7.3
Then Installed FUDforum 2.3.8 and setup Apache and done the web.
final step was to patch the OS and all the available updates to OS components.
Then re-configure the .conf and .ini etc..

This time everything worked perfectly.
Not to forget on every step I backed up everything, so I can roll back in case patches failed.

Thansk for your reply.

Vania
