Hi folks,

there's a somewhat interesting problem at step 2:
"SQL prefix cannot be empty or contain non A-Za-z0-9_ characters",
whatever I do.

Traced this down to:
if (!strlen($GLOBALS['HTTP_POST_VARS']['DBHOST_TBL_PREFIX']) ...
around line# 576; it works when I comment the !strlen() out.
Strange...

But then there's another problem with step 5: the Forum Data Root
path gets a few slashes too much appended, so "//sql//db.inc" and
"//src/db.inc.t" can not be found; when I delete the slash in step
1, I get "\\/sql//db.inc" and "\\/src/db.inc.t" instead, which
also could not be found.

Any help out there, pleaze?
TIA, pz

Don't use '_' inside the SQL prefix or get 2.3.8RC3.
This is an old bug that was fixed.

Thanks allot, the SQLPrefix prob has gone.

The other one still persistet: too much slashes when initializing
the DB after step 5.

Workaround: Using ugly IE instead of Mozilla. Mad
Maybe this could be notet somewhere.

Anyway, a very fine produkt, thank you all.

greetz from Vienna,
pz
