Anonymous postings on certain Forum [message #9367]

Hi,

I wonder how I should set up the groups etc. to allow anonymous postings to a certain Forum (Or category)

I tried setting up a new group for the Forum and made that
inherit the 'Global Anonymous Access' group on all but post
and reply, which I enabled.

But the result is that registering is still required....

Replying to myself.... Rolling Eyes

But never mind.
Just found that the USER named Anonymous also needed editing...
It wasn't enough to just create a new group that allowed postings.
After that lightbulb was lit it was very easy!

So what I did was:

1. Create the Forum
2. Go to the group management
3. Select the group for that newly created forum
4. Click on "manage users"
5. Change the permissions for user "Anonymous" to whatever you want.
