In our current application of FUD Forum, we are hoping to customize it so that usernames and e-mail addresses are ONLY visible for the administrator & moderator. In other words, users login to the forum and can make posts as well as read posts, but the usernames & e-mail addreses of the posts are hidden to the users.
My instincs tell me that this can somehow be accomplished via editing the templates but just thought I'd pose the question to see how involved this modification might be. Thanks in advance!

That is indeed something you can do via templates, although you will need to modify a whole bunch of'em to get it to a state where no form shows user logins.
