using FUD 2.3.8, I made a backup of the forum using the data export utility (great!), then the web server was deleted. No problems, I reinstalled the forum and imported the datadump, however, none of the uploaded images are present any more.
Does the import dumpfile contain them? One difference between the old and new forums is the location of the data files (I didn't install al options exactly as before).
Also, the forum's settings weren't retained by the data dump (eg. avatar settings were reset to default). Are these supposed to be retained too?
When I reinstalled I did see errors - but they were all about failing to create i18n directories for languages I don't use. I hope these were spurious.

The GLOBALS.php settings are not imported by the backup/import process however the lack of images is likely the result of a bug in older importers. That should not be the case in 2.5.0 release.

Actually that's not true, 2.5.0 should be out shortly 1-2 weeks from now. The 'rapidity' of the release largerly depends on the amount of stress testing we can squeeze into the next few days and how many bugs I can uncover & solve.
