edit the lib.js file to remove the offending code & edit the .png files to suit your theme...

I could not see an option in admin for deciding whether to use png's or gif's for these images though I suppose you could edit the individual templates ... but what a pain.

I think its daft to have the default behaviour such as to slow the experience of the expected 90% of users. (granted this domain probably gets much less IE but most (including most of mine Wink

don't).
