If you were to provide a Message-ID from the 'offending person', it
might be possible to see what you need to filter.

All the posters have individual Message-IDs. No "central server" is
assigning them. It's no different than this group.

Ok, there are not many posting there (in the last several hundred posts)
that use a gmail address. I don't notice anything strange in their
headers that would prevent filtering just one of them.

So you can still send me the person's name, or several of their
Message-IDs, else there isn't much else to do to help you.

If you are not using Challenge/Response, either via special software, or
through the ISP's mail server, there is no need.

Regarding Tbird, I think you can set it to only accept mail to your
Inbox from people in your address book, and redirect all the rest to,
say, the Junk folder, or delete them (risky).
