Greetings,
A server crash has resulted in a jumbled forum. The host explains that they've made everything right, but I've completely lost the Admin portion of the forum... The Admin Control Panel does not exist, and all functions associated with the admin folders does not function - included are avatar and account approvals. It's obvious that huge chunks of data are simply "gone".
I will be moving my hosting account to a different, more reliable and responsive host, but in the mean time, I'm looking to address the issues that I have with the forum. I'm currently running Version 2.3.8 and I've toyed with the idea of updating to a more recent version, but I'm concerned with the posts and ID's that currently exist on the forum. Is this the proper way to address the issues that I have?
Obviously, these are pretty noobish questions, so I'll appreciate any and all advice that you can offer.
